Mrs. Kathy Cannarozzi Harris

Program Director / Producer

kchKC Harris has been teaching drama and dance on the high school, university and community theater levels. She has directed over 150 productions, received her B.A. in theater and dance from Baldwin Wallace University, Master’s degree in theater from Penn State University, and began her Doctoral study at Northwestern University in children’s theater. She performed and toured in plays and musicals with Encore Productions, Bread and Circus Theater, SCLO, and Laguna Playhouse. She served for six years as the Pennsylvania State Director for the International Thespian Society and was awarded the city and county teacher of the year in 1988 and 1990.  She was the 1997 Los Angeles County Music Center’s Bravo Finalist for Arts Excellence in Drama and was recognized as a 1997 Distinguished Woman of Orange County. She was awarded the Arts Educator of the Year 2002 from Arts Orange County and the 2008 California Educational Leadership Award. She is the 2008 SVUSD Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Harris is also an adjunct faculty member at Cal State Fullerton, UCI, and Saddleback College and is a member of the teaching staff at the Laguna Playhouse. She is the founder of CTE – The Children’s Theater Ensemble and producer/writer of children’s musicals including “Don’t Just Tell Your Teddy Bear” and “The Drug Wizard and His Wheezers”

Ms. Lisa Goins

Director / Comedy Sportz Advisor


Ms. Lisa Goins is an MVHS alumni who received her B.A. in Theatre from UC San Diego and her M.A. in Educational Theatre from NYU. She has worked as a stage manager and director on a range of plays, musicals, dance productions, children’s shows, world premieres, special events, and film at UC San Diego, Theater for the New City, the La Jolla Playhouse, and in New York City.  For the past decade she has been directing and mentoring theatre students around Orange County and has worked at Mission Veijo High School, Tesoro high School, Santa Ana High School, and Irvine high School. She has also remained heavily involved with the Orange County CAPPIES since it began in 2003 and currently serves as the Program Director.

Mr. Matthew G. White

Technical Director

MWhiteMatthew White Studied Special Event Production at Northern Arizona University. Matthew has worked in Technical Theater for over ten years fulfilling roles including Technical Director, Audio Design / Engineer, Set Construction / Design, Lighting Design / Programmer.  He still remembers the first show he ever worked, 42nd Street.  Matthew currently owns his own full service Production Company, OnQ, specializing in Audio and Lighting Installation, Concert and Corporate Sound, and Production Fabrication and Design.  Matthew has held positions at Hope International University in Fullerton, The Rose Center Theater in Westminster, Plummer Auditorium in Fullerton, and Prochnow Auditorium in Flagstaff.  He has also worked in many of the venues in Orange County.  He has enjoyed furthering the arts by working with many non-profits, youth theaters, and acting companies.

Mrs. Diane King Vann

Musical Theater Vocal Director

Mrs. King Vann’s  long and varied career began when she was 4 years old and her Italian grandmother started giving her piano lessons. She entered Cal State Fullerton as a piano performance major – aiming to be a classical accompanist, but her freshman year she signed up to play rehearsals for Man Of La Mancha, and that literally changed her life.

She started working as a rehearsal pianist for musicals and singers and then moved into Musical Directing and Conducting. Along the way she became a commissioned composer and as Resident Composer for the Tony Award winning South Coast Repertory. she composed scores for many Main Stage productions along with years of Educational Touring Musicals and Youth Players Musicals – all with fully staged productions at SCR.

Along the way, she also performed onstage as an actress, (earned her Equity card) and  composed the musical “Spellbound” and “On Stage” She  has taught at UCI, SCR, Saddleback College, Santa Ana College and for the past 9 years as Voice Instructor for the BFA Musical Theatre program at Cal State Fullerton (Where she also Musical Directs/Plays Keyboards/Conducts).She is Music Director at The  Center for Spiritual Living in San Clemente. She has worked with MVHS Drama vocal directing Les Miserables, Crazy for You, Urinetown, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Fiddler on the Roof, Singin in the Rain, and her children’s musicals Pinocchio, Alice! and Pollution Solution. Her daughter, Chelsea is a graduate of MVHS and pursuing her career in New York.

Mrs. Kristi Davar

Musical Choreographer

KristiKristi has had an extensive dance career as a TV and stage performer. A dance instructor and choreographer for over twenty five years. She received most of her training in Los Angeles with teachers such as Joe Tremaine, Dean Barlow and, John Zerbie On tour, as featured dancer and choreographer with the “Dancin’ Machine”. Kristi and her group appeared in TV specials such as Grammy AwardsRock Music Awards, and numerous other variety shows, including weekly appearances on the Midnight Special with The Jackson Five.

Kristi has been the choreographer for the Mission Viejo High School Musicals for the past 8 years. Her highlights include, Singing In The RainWest Side StorySweet Charity,  Kiss Me KateCrazy for YouAnything GoesHow to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and Thoroughly Modern Millie, under the direction of Kathy Harris. Kristi is the founder and owner of Center Stage Dance and Performing Arts in Rancho Santa Margarita. Her son Brandon (musician,composer) and her daughter Desi (dancer/singer, Anita in West Side Story -Broadway/International Tour) are both MVHS graduates.

Mr. John Hannan

Musical Director

mrhannanMr. Hannan has been teaching instrumental music for over twenty years. Mr. Hannan has conducted many musicals throughout Southern California. He has been the director for the nationally recognized Americus Brass Band and worked as a historical music consultant on such notable film projects as “North and South: Parts I and II”, “The Alamo”, “Glory”, and “Gettysburg”. Mr. Hannan received his B.A. in Music from California State University of Long Beach.
